Chopper Spirals Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Popular California Beach
A helicopter soaring near a well-attended coastal shoreline unexpectedly started spinning wildly, ultimately descending rapidly and smashing into a row of palm trees as spectators watched.
Videos uploaded on the internet capture the chopper commencing to spiral near the shoreline then falling in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it gets stuck among palms and a staircase near the coastal road.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders reported five individuals were rushed to the hospital involving two individuals who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Information on their injuries were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
